Bridge

Falls Bridge, a.k.a. Lover's Leap Bridge, is a lenticulat
truss iron bridge that was in service from 1895 until 1974 when
the steel and concrete Charles H. March Bridge replaced its function.
Located about two miles south of New Milford village center, the
iron bridge spans the Housatonic River and connected Grove Street
with what was Pumpkin Hill Road. It has been declared an architecturally
important and historically significant structure, and is on the
National Register of Historic Places, the Connecticut Department
of Transportation's List of Historic Highway Bridges, and is documented
in the Library of Congress in a Historic American Engineering Record.
