Educational Activities Early American Learning Boxes The New Milford Historical Society is offering learning boxes for classroom use to provide hands on learning experiences in early American history. Children will learn more about the times of the Newbury Award winning book, The Courage of Sarah Noble, Early American Crafts, Early American Toys and Games and the One-Room Schoolhouse. Each box contains reproduction artifacts and materials for hands-on activities. Also included is a teacher guide containing background information about the various activities and lesson ideas.
Each learning box is available for a two-week period per class at the cost of $35.00. Checks to be payable to the New Milford Historical Society. Information about the boxes can be obtained by contacting: Robert Coppola Print and complete the form below to reserve your learning box. You will be contacted on the availability of your box. Kits can be picked up at the Historical Society at a mutually agreed time. You will be charged for broken or missing items.
